FAQs

1. My child is 4 years old—do I have to go to a pedodontist or can I come to your office?
It depends. Pedodontic offices are geared more for the child, giving them a more relaxed atmosphere. This, in turn, makes it easier for the hygienists to clean and the dentists to complete the exam. At general practicing locations we strive to give each patient—especially the small ones—our eyes and ears. We can try to make a small child relaxed and at ease, but the success can depend upon the child’s comfort level.

2. My insurance has run out. Can I still come in for a cleaning?
Absolutely! Regular cleanings are so important for your long-term health, and the beauty of your smile. We will work with you to help you choose a financing option that works best for you. We want you to maintain your healthy smile—it’s our best advertisement that we’re doing a good job!

3. Does it take forever to get in for an appointment?
We do our very best to accommodate our patients appointment requests. If our schedule is full during your preferred time, we will make every effort to fit you in. Cancellations do occur, and we will stay in touch with you to communicate any appointments that may become available.

4. Does Nanston Dental file claims?
Yes! We file automatically through our network. We even have a central billing department for outstanding insurance claims, payments and collection questions.

5. Will I know how much the treatment is going to cost beforehand? And what if I need the treatment, but can’t afford it right now?
Each of our offices has a treatment coordinator who will privately go over your future treatment plan and discuss finances with you. Nanston Dental is proud to announce that we have two separate credit companies that provide short- and long-term financing so that you don’t have to delay your treatment. There is even a same as cash financing option for balances paid back in 90 days.
